Methodology

For the Electroencephalography (EEG) recordings, Dr. Lorianne Avino recruited qualified participants from her patient base. Those selected to participate in the study were mid-stage to later-stage Alzheimer’s patients 70 years old or older.

During the procedure, electrodes consisting of small metal discs with thin wires were pasted on the scalp of each Alzheimer’s patients. These electrodes detected the tiny electrical charges that resulted from the activity of the patient’s brain cells. The charges were recorded and printed out on paper; Dr. Avino then interpreted those readings.

After an initial recording performed at rest, each patient listened to 20 minutes of unenhanced music. This was followed by a second resting period. The patient then heard another 20 minutes of music enhanced by Altus Oscillation™.

Dear Mr. Gregory,

This Executive Summary describes the results of the Electroencephalography (EEG) recordings of
mid-stage Alzheimer’s patients before and after exposure to both unenhanced and the Altus
Oscillation enhanced music from LifeMusic, Inc. Notably, the EEG is considered to be the “gold
standard” as the most reliable tool for measuring the electrical impulses in the brain.

It is my professional opinion that the results of the EEG’s are extremely promising in your quest
to determine if patients experience increased brain activity while listening to your enhanced
music.

Utilizing standard procedures, I created a neutral atmosphere to ensure there were no outside
distractions during the testing period and started with a neutral baseline for each patient
participating in the study. I then exposed the patient to the unenhanced music, recording my
findings in order to compare them to my findings after exposure to the enhanced music.

The EEG response to the enhanced music included some or all of the following for each patient:

  1. Amplified brain activity in the frontal or parietal lobe;
  2. Greater alertness to the present moment;
  3. Demonstrated calmness and contentment;
  4. Singing or humming along with the music; and
  5. Increased symmetrical brain activity.

Therefore, I can say in my professional medical opinion that the results of this study
demonstrated increased temporary positive effects on mid-stage Alzheimer’s patients aged 70+
who experienced the enhanced music (with LifeMusic, Inc.’s patent pending Altus Oscillation
process) versus unenhanced music.
